Anton Nemkin warns about the risks of using anonymous networks.

Internet users who use VPN services may unwittingly become participants in criminal schemes. This was stated by State Duma deputy Anton Nemkin.

According to the MP, scammers actively exploit VPN technologies to involve users in so-called botnets. As a result, users ' devices can be used to carry out DDoS attacks, even targeting government resources.

He added that it is impossible to completely exclude the possibility that the installed program for building a VPN connection will not contain any additional functionality.

It is extremely difficult for an ordinary user to determine the fact of involvement in a criminal scheme. He may find out about this completely unexpectedly at the most inopportune moment, Nemkin warned.
