Trojans find a new way through sex toy apps.

Analysts from Doctor Web have identified a Trojan clicker in the Love Spoon app, available on Google Play. A Trojan known as Android. Click.414. origin, secretly opens web pages, thereby increasing the number of clicks on advertising links and can be used for DDoS attacks. According to experts, this Trojan is a modification of the malware first discovered in April last year.

The program disguises itself as a component for collecting information and has a complex modular structure. One of the modules collects data about the user's device, while the other two are responsible for loading web pages and performing automatic clicks on advertising banners. The Trojan can also hide audio playback on websites and execute scripts to manipulate page content.

In February 2024, for the first time, the presence of this Trojan was registered in an application downloaded from Google Play, and not just from unofficial sources. In addition to Love Spoon, the Trojan infected the QRunning activity tracking app, installed on over 1.5 million devices in total. Developer Love Spoon released an update that fixed the Trojan in version 1.8.8, while there was still no update for QRunning.
