In Blagoveshchensk, police officers during operational search activities detained previously convicted spouses, a man born in 1986 and a woman born in 1981, suspected of fraud.

It was previously established that the attackers had been buying fish products for a long time in one retail outlet located on Pionerskaya Street. At the same time, they paid in cash and transfers made through the bank's online application.

Having gained confidence in the sellers, the accomplices began using the chatbot of one of the messengers to generate images of checks of a credit and financial organization and show them to the store's employees, thereby confirming the allegedly perfect transfer of funds. Merchants, not suspecting that the receipts for payment for goods were fake, gave their accomplices fresh frozen fish, caviar and other seafood. Subsequently, the attackers sold bioresources through social networks. Thus, the couple from June to September of this year stole goods worth more than 1.6 million rubles.

The detainees confessed to the crime. Part of the stolen goods worth about 100 thousand rubles was seized and returned to the rightful owner.

The investigator of the inter-municipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Blagoveshchenskoe" opened a criminal case against the suspects under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendants were given a preventive measure in the form of recognizance not to leave and proper behavior.
