Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo district of Moscow detained three men suspected of stealing things from the pick-up point.
It is established that malefactors, working in one of the points of delivery of the marketplace, located on the Volokolamsk highway, using fake accounts, purchased expensive smart speakers.
After receiving purchases, they pasted barcodes on them from products purchased on another online platform, and then returned the gadgets as unclaimed. In the future, the defendants sold the stolen equipment via the Internet. The total material damage amounted to more than 1.4 million rubles.
The investigator of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo district opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspects were given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
