Credit card details were stolen from people in Australia and the US as part of a scam to purchase tickets on Emirates Airline, a court heard.

Dubai Court of First Instance was told how a Pakistani salesman allegedly stole the details to buy plane tickets costing Dhs73,339 to fly to his home country.

However, the 48-year-old defendant denies charges of forging documents and embezzlement.

According to court records, an official in the airline said staff discovered discrepancies so called Dubai Police.

The official said: “The credit cards belonged to residents in the US and Australia. He was calling the airline and asking to book tickets to Pakistan and then gave us the credit card details and we issued the ticket.

“The defendant and another man traveled on our planes 43 times in this way. Sometimes they would travel in the morning to Karachi and then return later the same day.”

The court heard he would also arrange tickets for other people to travel.

An Emirati policeman said: “He is part of an organised gang who specialised in booking tickets.”

The defendant was arrested by a policeman who approached him to book a flight. The case has been adjourned.

Flying 43 times, with all this risk and without getting caught is smart, problem is, he fell with an actual cardholder who would call places in which his card was used, thats how he was caught, cardholder contacted airlines and on the way the passenger checked-in, he was caught... the stupid move he done was booking the ticket few days earlier than the flight, it should be done few hours before the take-off. i mean, that should lower the risk of getting caught or the airlines getting reports. because, once the passenger took-off, they must catch him on landing, if he wasn't caught on landing... then, they have no right in talking to him later on, he must be caught in action.

Booking fly tickets too close from the flight time is too risk, at least here in brazil, if you book flights same day you gooing to fly, there is a big red flag in your order...

Well that's a good article about person flying. well the only thing I can say carding a flight to strange destination is getting difficult as most of the time card company or issuing bank will contact the owner regarding the transaction. Other thing is paying by phone within short time of departure is not possible on some airlines in EU. Good advice if you card a flight always perform a check before you board the plane 1st confirm your reservation thats all ok 2nd check the card if still valid.

Thanks for the article.

Maybe that ''gang'' or person was selling tickets on this board? or other carding forums?

Not so many carders make big money, mostly are into online cardings, simple stuff like airlines/hotels and probably still into domain names as well. so that saves them some money while traveling on carded tickets.

i know someone who was travelling for years with this method and finally they got him and he lost his USA visa, he totally regrets it now. His mistake was not having a good explanation as to how he aquired the ticket , he probably should have told them that he purchased a 'buddy' pass from someone.

Some tips regarding carding flights.
Expedia: main thing you need to use is either socks or vpn that is local to the city that is stated in the billing address. Other thing is phone number that matches the city in the billing address. With this you can use skype online numbers and forward to your newly bought mobile :) If country not listed in skype then use call forwarding or virtual numbers[google it] and buy some numbers. This technique works for me.

Booking with the airlines directly via web page: Major carriers in EU use VBV/MCS when you bypass it there shouldnt be any problems with the flight. TIP try not to change password when booking the flight do it earlier buying a small things etc. What happen to me recently is that one airline cancelled the flights after I've changed the VBV/MCS. If you book flights that way remember to change your IP to the one that matches the city that is stated in the billing address.
Airlines keep a log of IP's and if some one else used this IP quite often to make fraudulent transactions then your booking will be cancelled.

Some airlines have their offices that you can call and make a booking through them via phone. I recently found one and works perfectly for me.
Flights from sth/central america sometimes if you are unlucky they will ask you for the cc you bought the flight and if aint got it they won't let you board the plane. Even when you explain them that its a 3rd party booking they will still say NO.

Well depends what class you fly :)If you card a flight you take the risk and its better to fly in style then economy class :) makes no difference when shit will happen.
Cost of cc and 1st or biz class price makes the difference.

Regarding the risk airlines sometimes asks for your DOB or Pass no. do not give them your real details. Reason think no need to explain as its obvious :)
