The incident was initially reported by Dumpster DAO specialists. PeckShield experts noticed that suspicious transactions were preceded by the transfer of ownership rights to the treasury to Dreiner.

Experts tracked assets to several addresses associated with the hacking of the organization behind the Milady Maker NFT project.

In March, the incident was initially reported by the Dumpster DAO X account. The founder of Milady and Remilia, Charlotte Fan, called the reason for the theft of funds "unknown malware" that penetrated her password manager. As a result, the attackers gained access to seed phrases and emptied several DAO wallets.

"Unfortunately, the compromise of private keys continues to be the main cause of money loss in the crypto space," CertiK experts commented in a March report.

They stated that in 2024, such incidents have become "commonplace".

Before transferring the assets stolen from Remilia to the mixing service, hackers sold NFT collections of Milady and Remio, accumulating funds on three wallets.
