The Game Boy line of pocket video game consoles was produced by the Japanese company Nintendo from 1989 to 2005. Now it is not a harmless toy at all, but a weapon of real criminals, writes DailyMail.

The British police have warned car owners that a person walking in the parking lot with such a device could steal your car. Most likely, in his hands is not a game console at all, but a modified by the Bulgarian technology company Game Boy. Externally, the gadget resembles the Nintendo Game Boys, which was popular among children in the 1990s. Also on YouTube there is a video tutorial on how you can use a device to jailbreak KIA, Mitsubishi and Hyundai cars to steal a car in one minute.

It is enough for a thief to press the button on the door handle of the car, and in the future the device is able to record the data of the car, after which the owner of the gadget can fully control the devices of the vehicle. In particular, a hacker can break into a car alarm and even start it.

These devices cost 20 thousand pounds (1.7 million rubles) and, according to DailyMail, are technologically based on the Nintendo Game Boy. It is not known exactly what parts of the consoles are used, but the console software is completely changed to third-party.

Manufacturers of hacker consoles trade them openly and claim that they are not recommended to be bought by people with "illegal intentions." However, as noted by the police, it is unlikely that such a toy will be needed by law-abiding people.

Last year, vulnerabilities were discovered in the most popular anti-theft brands - Pandora and Viper, which allow the simplest methods to bypass security mechanisms and gain complete control over the device.
