Manchester police are investigating a bank fraud case that may involve elderly Britons. According to the Manchester Evening News, the group included an 81-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman. Their accomplice was a younger man, who is "only" 46 years old.

While the investigation is underway, no serious details have been leaked to the press. It is only known that "suspicious activity"was detected in the bank account of an elderly man. Representatives of the bank decided that he himself was a victim of fraud, but the police, apparently, have a different version.

Indirectly, the evidence against the pensioners is hinted at by the fact that they were released by the British security forces only on a substantial bail.

The investigation continues.
