The Cypriot company WiSpear has announced the creation of a minibus equipped with next-generation information gathering technologies and capable of hacking mobile devices running Apple and Google operating systems at a distance of 500 meters. According to Forbes, the cost of the vehicle ranges from $ 3.5 million to $ 5 million, and According to the manufacturer, the minibus has already attracted the interest of potential buyers.
SpearHead 360 is equipped with 24 antennas to connect to the target device. Once the desired device is selected, SpearHead 360 forces it to connect to its devices to intercept Wi-Fi connections using one of four available methods. Then, using a man-in-the-middle attack, the minibus starts digging into the mobile device in search of data.
SpearHead 360 has four variants of malware for various operating systems, including iOS and Android. According to the manufacturer, the minibus has access to a database of unknown vulnerabilities (zero-day vulnerabilities) in iOS and Android. Moreover, SpearHead 360 can attack all of the victim's devices at the same time. For example, if the attacked object is sitting in a cafe, working with a Mac and holding an Android smartphone and a Windows tablet, a nearby machine will hack all three gadgets.
SpearHead 360 was presented this month at the ISS World and Eurosatory conferences. So far, no orders have been received for it, however, according to the manufacturer, by the end of the calendar year it will be able to sell 2-4 minibuses.
