Thailand, Chonburi Transnational Crime Center arrested three Ukrainians using fake ATM cards withdrawing approximately ten million THB which they spent extravagantly.

PATTAYA – March 30, 2012[PDN]; Pol.Lt.Col.Chiddeja Songsong, Pattaya police station and the chief of transnational crime center Pol.Capt. Prajakpong Suriya were notified by Mr. Adipat Adikanit- the anti-corruption control unit and The Siam Commercial Bank about a gang of foreigners using fake ATMs and credit cards to withdraw money from a bank in Pattaya.

Upon investigation, the police found out that one of the the suspects stayed at room # 1228 of Royal Twin hotel in Pattaya 2 road.

The police waited for the suspect at the hotel lobby and did a body search after arresting him. They found 11 credit cards in the back pocket: Mr. Ievgenii Salogub 24-years-old Ukrainian, who said that he used fake credit cards to withdraw money and send it to his family everyday.



The police searched his room but did not find any thing illegal. The police brought him in for further investigation to find his accomplices and interrogating him more than three hours he revealed his accomplice: Mr. Anderii Balaiev 25-years-old Ukrainian citizen. The police arrested him at a bar on Walking street, South Pattaya. After body search they found 20,000 THB and 12 fake ATM cards.

Pol.Lt.Col. Chiddeja Songhong after interrogating Mr.Balaiev said that, one remained: Mr.Vitalii Stryhun age 25 Ukrainian staying at room # 324 of LK Metropol Hotel Soi Diana, Banglamung. In the room the police found seven ATM cards.

Pol.Lt.Col. Chiddeja Songhong checked all 30 cards that the three suspects had used to withdraw money. The three are charged with counterfeiting. Further investigatings await the three Ukrainian criminals.
